Forget quiet getaways. Summer 2026 is the year of “see and be seen” travel, and A-listers are trading private islands for places with great light, great DJs, and just enough paparazzi access. If you want sun, style, and a possible sighting, book now. Here is the insider map.

1. MYKONOS, GREECE — The eternal VIP playground

Who’s going: Zendaya, Leonardo DiCaprio, Dua Lipa
Mykonos never left the list, and in 2026 it’s back on top thanks to new direct JSX-style flights from the US. The crowd splits between Nammos Beach Club for lunch (order the lobster pasta, that’s where DiCaprio was photographed last August) and Scorpios at sunset for the boho-house set. Stay at Kalesma or the new Mykonos Theoxenia revamp if you want the same check-in desk as the Marvel cast.

2. PALMA DE MALLORCA, SPAIN — Old money meets new cool

Who’s going: Brad Pitt, Penélope Cruz, Harry Styles
Palma is the 2026 answer to Ibiza-overload. Pitt has been renovating a finca in the Tramuntana mountains since 2024, and Styles was spotted DJ-ing a secret set at La Residencia in Deià last June. The move: mornings at Cala Deià, afternoons shopping in Santa Catalina, evenings at Michelin-starred DINS Santi Taura. It’s quieter than Saint-Tropez but the yacht traffic is identical.

3. AMALFI COAST, ITALY — La Dolce Vita, TikTok edition

Who’s going: Beyoncé and Jay-Z, Chrissy Teigen and John Legend, George Clooney
Beyoncé rented the entire Villa Treville in Positano for her 44th birthday in 2025, and she’s booked again for July 2026. Chrissy Teigen posts daily lemon granita stories from Il San Pietro. The trick is not Positano center — it’s the private beach clubs at Laurito or One Fire Beach in Praiano, where staff are trained not to ask for selfies. Book the boat from Nerano, not Amalfi town, to avoid the crowds.

4. ST. BARTHS, CARIBBEAN — New Year’s in July

Who’s going: Rihanna, the Kardashians, Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sánchez
St. Barts has shifted from winter-only to a full summer scene because of new sustainability caps (fewer mega-yachts, more privacy). Eden Rock’s Sand Bar at lunch is still the runway — Rihanna was there in a vintage Jean Paul Gaultier mesh top last December. For 2026, the hotspot is the new Cheval Blanc pool, where you can spot Bezos debating space flights over rosé.

5. CABO SAN LUCAS & TULUM, MEXICO — Wellness with a DJ

Who’s going: Kendall Jenner, Bad Bunny, Margot Robbie
Parade lists Cabo and Tulum as top 2026 celebrity spots for their mix of luxury and accessibility. Cabo’s Chileno Bay is where Pitt and Ines de Ramon paddleboard at 7am. Tulum’s new Casa Malca Beach Club (opened late 2025) is already the place for sunrise cacao ceremonies followed by Peggy Gou sets. Stay at Etereo or Waldorf Astoria Los Cabos Pedregal for the best chance of an elevator encounter.

6. IBIZA & FORMENTERA, SPAIN — The comeback

Who’s going: Beyoncé, Leonardo DiCaprio, Dua Lipa
Chase Travel still puts Ibiza in its top 10 for star sightings, but 2026 is about Formentera day trips. DiCaprio docks at Juan y Andrea for paella, then disappears to the new Six Senses Ibiza for sound healing. The insider move: book a table at Casa Jondal at 4pm, not midnight — that’s when models and musicians arrive before the clubs.

7. LAKE COMO & PORTO ERCOLE, ITALY — Quiet luxury

Who’s going: George Clooney, Harry Styles, Emily Blunt
Clooney’s Villa Oleandra is the anchor, but the new crowd is in Porto Ercole, Tuscany — Chase calls it the “under-the-radar St. Tropez”. Il Pellicano is fully booked by Hollywood producers through August. In Como, pass on Villa d’Este lobby (too many tourists) and head to the Mandarin Oriental’s botanical cocktails at sunset.

8. MALDIVES & GRACE BAY, TURKS & CAICOS — Family mode

Who’s going: Chrissy Teigen, John Legend, Beyoncé (with kids)
When stars travel with children, they choose overwater villas with kids’ clubs. Soneva Jani and Cheval Blanc Randheli in the Maldives, and Amanyara in Turks & Caicos, dominate 2026 bookings. Grace Bay’s new Ritz-Carlton is where Teigen films her cooking stories at 6am to avoid fans.

9. BONUS: THE “SET-JETTING” WILD CARDS

Expedia notes a rise in film-inspired travel. For 2026, book:

  • Hawaii (Oahu North Shore) — for the live-action ‘Moana’ buzz

  • Yorkshire, UK — crews for ‘The Odyssey’ are basing cast at Grantley Hall

  • Palawan, Philippines — after the ‘White Lotus’ Season 4 rumors

You won’t meet Timothée Chalamet at the pool, but you might sit next to his location scout.

How to actually meet them (without being creepy)

  1. Go early. Stars do beach clubs at 12pm, dinners at 7:30pm, before crowds.

  2. Book the right hotels. Staff at Kalesma, Il San Pietro, Eden Rock and Chileno Bay are discreet but will seat you near regulars if you ask for “the quiet corner.”

  3. Skip the clubs, choose the boats. A shared yacht from Ibiza to Formentera costs less than a VIP table and is where most conversations happen.

  4. Respect the code. No photos in St. Barts or Como — that’s why they return.

Summer 2026 is not about hiding. It’s about curated visibility. The stars want the same golden hour you do — they just get the cabana with the better rosé list. Book the flight, pack linen, and keep your phone in your bag. You might just end up sharing an elevator with Zendaya in Mykonos.
